On today’s 50th anniversary of JFK’s assassination I began writing a new song entitled “Keeper Of The Flame”. The first verse is dedicated to JFK. It’s in the key of C and goes like this:
(C) (Em)
He was a burning ember
(G)
In the darkness of his time
(C) (Em)
Someone to remember
(G)
His light will always shine
(C) (Em)
He fought against insanity
(G)
And the evils of the day
(C) (Em)
Those with first strike mentality
(G)
Who would blow the world away
(C) (Em)
We would not be here today
(G)
If it weren’t for JFK
(C) (Dm) (Am)
He was the keeper of the flame
(C) (Dm) (Am)
He was the keeper of the flame
